Birth Control Dates

Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2026.

In short

  • The dates, products and choices you enter, and any reminders you save, stay on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else, unless you export a calendar file yourself; a synced calendar stores those events with your calendar provider.
  • Like every website, our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS), processes your IP address and the address of the page you request, so it can deliver the page. Request logging is turned off, so we keep no record of these requests.

Who we are

This site is run by Ben Basha, an individual developer in Israel and the maker of the Lady: Birth Control Reminder app. Contact: support@birthcontroldates.com. Please don't send health details.

What we don't use

There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no cookies, and no scripts, fonts or embeds from other sites. We don't sell personal data, we share it only as described on this page, and we don't use it to train large language models.

"Remember on this device" (optional)

Each tool can remember what you entered, on this device only, if you choose to. It is off unless you turn it on, and the tool shows exactly what it saves. The entries are kept in this browser's storage for up to 30 days; anything older is deleted the next time you open any of these tools, if your browser allows it. You can clear them at any time in the tool, if your browser allows it; you can also clear this site's data in your browser settings. Clearing them does not delete calendar events you exported, files you downloaded, screenshots or your browser history.

Calendar files and printing

The calendar file (.ics) is made on your device, and nothing about it is sent to us. By default its events just say "Reminder", with no method or product. If your calendar syncs to an account, your calendar provider will store the events.

Printing the dates, or saving them as a PDF, happens in your browser, and nothing about it, or what you entered, is sent to us. By default the printout uses neutral wording.

Schedule updates

Each tool loads a small status file from this site to check whether any schedule has been switched off for a correction. The request carries nothing you entered.

The App Store banner on Apple devices

On Apple devices, a banner for our app may appear at the top of the page. Tapping it opens the app, or its App Store page if the app isn't installed. Once you dismiss it, it doesn't reappear. We receive nothing from it.

Links to the app stores and other sites

Links to the App Store and Google Play carry a site-wide campaign tag, and the App Store link also carries our developer-account identifier. Neither identifies you or the page you were on. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies apply on their stores. When you follow any link off this site, your browser does not tell the other site which page you came from.

If you email us

We receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix errors. Please don't send health details, such as your own dates or your method. Emails to our address are received by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in its Europe (Ireland) region: Amazon SES receives the message, AWS stores a copy, and an AWS Lambda function forwards it to our Gmail mailbox (Google), where it is delivered. Emails are delivered to our Gmail mailbox; they are kept there. The copy stored by AWS is deleted after 90 days.

Notice under section 11 of Israel's privacy law: writing to us is voluntary, and no law requires you to send us anything. If you don't write, nothing changes in how you can use the site. We use what you send only to reply and to fix errors. The controller is Ben Basha, support@birthcontroldates.com. Please don't send health details. No one else receives it, except our email providers (Amazon Web Services and Google), which store it. You can ask to see what we hold about you and to have it corrected.

Legal basis (UK)

Under the UK GDPR, our basis is legitimate interests: delivering the page you request, keeping the site secure, and answering your emails. Page requests are handled in transit and not logged, so the impact on you is small.

Where data goes

AWS may serve the page from a location near you, which may be outside the UK. Emails you send us are stored by AWS in Europe (Ireland) and delivered to Google (Gmail). Emails reach us in Israel. UK law recognizes Israel as adequate for the automated processing of personal data.

Your rights

  • In the UK, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to restrict or object to its use. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.
  • In the US, including Washington, Connecticut and Nevada, you can use your state's privacy rights by emailing support@birthcontroldates.com. Please don't send health details. To appeal our decision, reply with the word "Appeal".
  • For Washington's consumer health data rules, see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Nevada

We process data only as described above. You can review and correct what we hold by email. Changes to this policy are announced by the date at the top of this page. This site adds no tracker, pixel or analytics that would let another company collect data about you over time and across websites.

Children

This site is not directed to children, and it asks no questions about age.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top and describe any material change here.
